I went with my cousin Alex to his mom's house to pick up his daughter, my niece May Angelica. Alex's sister also lives with their mother with her 3 daughters and my other cousin's 2 daughters. Yeah, that's how it's done in the Philippines, families live in their own little neighborhood... in America families live like 3 cities away from each other!
Before we left my grandma's house Jasmine, our baby cousin, saw us leaving and threw a fit because I was going and she was not. This child has grown on me like grape vines. My mom asked me to take her so she stopped crying when I finally got off the tricycle to get her. She's really not that hard to look after but I felt bad for taking her and having to leave behind Dorothy because there was not enough room.
The ride to Alex's mom, I guess my aunt, was not as long as I thought it would be. We didn't tell my cousin, Belinda, that I'd be coming so nobody had any idea that I was coming... I guess we didn't have any idea about each other because I thought that it was just my Aunt Mel that would be there. When we got there, we went into the front house. My niece, Faith, was there watching t.v. and there was another woman in the room that I was pretty sure I was not related to... but I'm not positive, even now I still don't know. Belinda came downstairs with her youngest daughter, she was eager to play with Jasmine but Jasmine doesn't really warm up to people in that short of time so she just clung to me. She'd whine when I tried to get her to hug or look at her half sister.
Alex's wife, Grace, wanted me to meet Aunt Mel who was next door. Alex was busy going through the kitchen and so I lied to Jasmine and told her I needed to go to the bathroom, she stayed with Alex while I went next door with Faith, Grace and Belinda.
When we were in Aunt Mel's room, where the other girls were too doing some karaoke, we took a whole bunch of pictures! While taking the pictures, Alex entered the room with Jasmine. I had completely forgotten about them two! Jasmine sat with me and Alex sang one song on the karaoke machine.
We were only there for 30 minutes but I had a blast! It was such a fun atmosphere and I think everyone was just as surprised as I was. I am bigger than just about anyone in the Philippines and they are whiter than any of my other family members.
It was a great night and a wonderful way to end the weekend!
One week to my party and I am excited. Belinda promised to attend the party, she's not really close to this side of the family... but I am glad that her and I get along, she seems really fun to be with!

My brilliant 'Graduation Walk' plan
I can't really explain to you the walk I plan to do when my name is called for graduation but it made my family laugh when I told them about it earlier today. I asked my Grace to make sure she got a video or picture of me when I was up there doing my silly walk, so I'll be able to show it on here. I hope there are no consequences for this little, harmless act.
