Another one bites the dust!!

Well there goes another pair of my slippers.

I seriously need to buy chew toys for my dogs. Geez, they chew up shoes like they're being starved. We feed them 3 times a day, pure dog food with Bear Brand milk! That's more than what most kids in the Philippines eat! And how do they repay Mom and me?... They chew up our slippers and shoe laces.

But no matter what my dearest babies do, I still love them.

Earlier today, I took Beanie to the vet for his shots. I insist on putting a muzzle on him because when we ride the public jeep, people freak out when they see a dog! Well it's been a while since I've put a muzzle on Beanie so he hasn't been used to it. So when I tried putting it on him, he was fighting with me! He wasn't biting me but he kept wiggling and yelping. The worried looks on people's faces said everything, they thought I was hurting him! I was definately not hurting him! I finally held him in some wrestling choke hold type of thing and got him to stay still long enough to get the muzzle of him. My poor Beanie baby obviously does not enjoy his mouth being clamped shut. He gave me the puppy eyes and he held his head down the whole time we were waiting for a jeepney. I tried having him walk but it's part of his stubborn, spoiled rotten attitude that he refused to walk with the muzzle. I was not about to take it off just to have him walk then have to fight him again when we ride the jeep so I swooped him up against his wagging tail's will.

It was an hour trip to the vet's shop because of the ridiculous traffic in downtown. It was bumper to bumper but there were a few times when the jeepney actually went a few yards straight.

When we finally got to his vet's office, even without the muzzle, he refused to walk in the door. He does this everytime, even at the groomer's! I was tired of swooping a setting him down just to get him through doorways so I tugged his ass straight through the doorway straight to next Tuesday :) Beanie has been acting so weird lately and I have no idea why! The guy at the vet who usually picks him up and weighs him couldn't even pet him today. Beanie growled at him which he has never dared to do at anyone! So i had to, once again, swoop him up and hand him to the vetinararian's assistant.

We go back tomorrow for his actual shots since today was just a check up and a weigh in. Goodness, Beanie is more work than a full time job!
